1. Scope of Services
Darna Duo (“Darna”, “we”, “our”) provides specialty coffee and non-alcoholic beverage catering services for private and corporate events. Darna does not provide medical services, food preparation, health advice, or alcoholic beverages.
By booking Darna, the Client (“Client”, “Organizer”, “you”) agrees to all Terms & Conditions listed below.
2. Ingredients, Allergies & Health Disclaimer
2.1. Darna uses high-quality, commercially sourced, professionally handled ingredients.
2.2. Darna is not responsible for:
- guest allergies;
- dietary restrictions;
- intolerances or sensitivities;
- medical conditions;
- adverse reactions during or after the event.
2.3. The Organizer is fully responsible for:
- informing guests of beverage ingredients;
- collecting allergy information from guests;
- notifying Darna in writing before the event.
2.4. Darna does not guarantee allergen-free products; cross-contamination is always possible.
2.5. The Organizer agrees to hold Darna harmless from all claims related to guest health, allergies, or reactions.
3. Guest Safety & Behavior
3.1. The Organizer is fully responsible for guest behavior, conduct, safety, and wellbeing.
3.2. Darna is not liable for any injuries, incidents, or damages caused by:
- guests, attendees, or children;
- intoxication or overconsumption of beverages;
- other vendors or venue staff;
- unsafe venue conditions.
4. Venue Requirements
The Organizer must ensure the following:
4.1. Safe, stable, accessible area for bar setup.
4.2. A working 110V power outlet if required.
4.3. Adequate coverage for outdoor events (shade, rain protection, wind protection).
4.4. Full compliance with venue rules, permits, load-in and parking instructions.
4.5. Darna may refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe. No refund will be issued if the venue is unsuitable.
5. Equipment Protection & Damages
5.1. All equipment (coffee machines, grinders, decor, branding, carafes, tools) is the property of Darna.
5.2. The Organizer is responsible for keeping guests away from equipment.
5.3. If equipment is damaged due to guests, venue, or Organizer negligence, the Organizer must reimburse full repair or replacement cost.
6. Payment Terms
6.1. A non-refundable retainer (amount or percentage to be inserted) is required to secure the date.
6.2. Full payment must be completed before the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.3. Add-ons, extra hours, or special requests will be invoiced separately.
7. Cancellation Policy
7.1. All retainers are non-refundable.
7.2. If the Organizer cancels:
More than 48 hours before event time: retainer is kept; no additional charges.
48 hours or less before event time: Organizer must pay 25% of the total invoice amount as a late-cancellation fee.
7.3. Rescheduling depends on availability and must be confirmed in writing.
8. Weather Policy (Outdoor Events)
8.1. The Organizer must provide safe weather protection for outdoor events (shade, canopy, flooring).
8.2. Darna may pause or stop service due to rain, wind, unsafe surfaces, extreme temperatures, or electrical hazards.
8.3. No refunds for weather-related interruptions if conditions are unsafe.
9. Liability Limitation
Darna’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Organizer for that event.
Darna is not responsible for:
- allergic reactions;
- medical issues;
- guest behavior;
- actions of venue staff or vendors;
- indirect or consequential damages;
- loss of business, revenue, or reputation.
10. Indemnification
The Organizer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Darna, its owners, employees, and contractors from all claims related to:
- guest conduct;
- unsafe venue conditions;
- allergies or medical issues;
- negligence by Organizer or guests;
- damage to equipment;
- violation of these Terms.
11. Photography & Marketing
Darna may take photos or short clips of the coffee bar, menu items, and decor for portfolio and marketing purposes.
Close-up photos of identifiable guests will not be used without consent.
12. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts of Los Angeles County, California.
13. Acceptance of Terms (Important Section)
The following actions constitute full legal acceptance of this agreement, even if no checkbox is selected:
By:
- submitting the Darna online booking form,
- paying any Darna invoice,
- communicating approval via email or text,
- or allowing Darna to provide services at the event,
the Organizer automatically agrees to all Terms & Conditions listed herein.
The checkbox in the booking form (“I confirm that I have read and accept Darna catering terms”) serves as an additional confirmation but is not required for this agreement to be valid.
This document is intended to serve as enforceable written evidence of the agreed service terms and may be used in court if needed.
The final interpretation and enforceability of this agreement remain subject to California law and the appropriate court.
